§ 8-307. Officers.

The chairman of the authority shall be the presently serving president of the Savannah Port Authority. The authority as reorganized, shall elect a vice-chairman and a secretary-treasurer and shall elect a chairman, upon the expiration of the term of the chairman assuming office under the terms of this Act. The secretary-treasurer shall not be required to be a member of the authority.

Editor's note

The provision for chairman at the date of the Act (February 17, 1951) has served its purpose. The 1965 Constitutional amendment (1965 Ga. Laws, page 675) provides for election of chairman, vice-chairman and secretary-treasurer.
